What exactly is JaipurLifes?
A single directory for Jaipur (restaurants, cafes, hotels, attractions, nightlife, shopping, and more) alongside civic information (hospitals, police, JDA property records), local events, news, and an AI concierge that can put together an itinerary from a plain-language description of what you want to do.
Is it free to use?
Yes. Browsing the directory, reading place details, checking events and news, saving places, writing reviews, and using the AI itinerary tool are all free with no paywall. Business listings are also free to claim.
How accurate is the information?
Listings come from a mix of sources (official public data, business owner submissions once claimed, and editorial research) and each place's page shows when it was last verified. Unclaimed listings are generally thinner than claimed ones, since the business owner hasn't yet filled in their own details; claiming a listing is free and takes a few minutes.
I run a business in Jaipur. How do I get listed?
Search for your business on the business page. If it already exists (most are pulled from public map data), you can claim it directly. If it doesn't, you can add it as a new listing, which goes through a short review before it appears publicly.
Can I trust the reviews?
Every review is moderated before it's published, and the platform enforces one review per person per place: no repeat posting, no coordinated review campaigns. Claimed business owners can respond publicly to any review, which most take seriously since a measured response to fair criticism tends to build more trust than a five-star-only history.
What's the AI concierge and how do I use it?
It's an itinerary-planning tool: describe what you're after in plain language (a budget day trip, a romantic evening, a family outing) and it puts together a real, place-by-place plan using the actual listings in the directory, not generic suggestions. It runs on a self-hosted model, not a third-party AI API, your prompts aren't sent anywhere outside JaipurLifes.
Most information about Jaipur online is scattered across a dozen different sources: a travel blog for attractions, a food app for restaurants, a government portal for civic records, a messaging group for what's actually happening this weekend. JaipurLifes exists to put the useful parts of all of that in one place, kept current by the people who actually run these places rather than left to go stale the way a one-time travel article does.
That means two different things depending on who's using it. For a visitor, it's a directory of real restaurants, cafes, hotels, and attractions with genuine photos and hours, an AI concierge that can turn "a relaxed day with good food and no long walks" into an actual place-by-place plan, and practical guides on getting around and the basics worth knowing before you arrive. For a resident, it's the same directory plus the civic layer most tourism sites skip entirely, emergency helplines, hospitals and pharmacies, JDA property records, and local news, all searchable from the same starting point.
None of it is static. Businesses that claim their listing keep their own hours, photos, and offers current; reviews are moderated but genuinely from real visits, capped at one per person per place so the signal isn't diluted; and the directory itself keeps growing as new places get added and existing ones get verified. If you run a business here and your listing isn't accurate yet, claiming it takes a few minutes and puts you in direct control of what people see before they decide to visit.

Is this useful for locals, or just tourists?
Both, deliberately. The civic and practical sections, emergency helplines, healthcare and police directories, JDA property records, getting-around and everyday-essentials guides: exist specifically for residents, alongside the tourism-oriented attractions, hotels, and itinerary planning most visitors come for.
