Tripolia Bazar, named for the three-gated entrance built when Jaipur was founded in the 18th century, is organized into lanes by trade — lac bangle-makers, blacksmiths and brass-and-iron utensil sellers each have their own street, a layout largely unchanged from when the market supplied the royal court.
