Johari Bazar has been Jaipur's jewellery market since the city's founding in the 18th century, when Sawai Jai Singh II designated it specifically for jewellers. It's still where to find Kundan, Meenakari and lac jewellery alongside loose gemstones, made by artisans working the same lanes their trade has occupied for nearly 300 years.
