Govind Dev Ji Temple

Govind Dev Ji Temple sits inside the City Palace gardens, built in the 18th century to house a black-marble Krishna deity brought from Vrindavan after the original temple there was partly destroyed under Aurangzeb. Maharaja Jai Singh II positioned it in direct view of the Chandra Mahal palace, and it remains the presiding deity of the former Kachhwaha royal family.
